CO-OP NATION/NETWORK

For years, I have served as a trusted source of motivation, help or advice to others. I finally decided to own that role and be intentional about it. I started CO-OP NATION NETWORK with a mission to offer others interested in the cooperative model, the same opportunity to hear from others who have walked the cooperative path and journey, a taste of those thoughts and experiences, as well as the gift of wisdom and insight as a mentor would do. I also believe that it is essential that the cooperative industry as a whole do more to promote the cooperative business model, it's benefits, and real impact by telling and utilizing the amazing real life stories we have to tell, to gain awareness, respect, and support to continue this work, gain momentum, and grow this very critical ecosystem toward a more equitable economy and better world. What started as weekly show ideas on paper is now coming to life and will be evolving into a rich site filled with information about various topics that are near and dear to my heart and those who also find themselves passionate about the pursuit and mastering of the co-op model.

I decided to add my journaling as another layer of information sharing that I trust will be of value to those who are coming up next, in some way.

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

L. AHZJAH NETJER SIMONS

Ahzjah is a passionate media producer, host, and editor with over 20 years in broadcast radio, marketing, and communications. Ahzjah is also a humanitarian and empowerer of people. After serving over 16 years in the retail food co-op space, she turned her sights to co-op development on a broader scale throughout the state of Georgia cultivating all types of cooperatives at the Georgia Cooperative Development Center as Interim Co-Director. She is also working nationally and globally to form partnerships and lead P6 initiatives to cultivate cooperation among cooperatives to illuminate the power of cooperation in all efforts to build equitable ecosystems for communities across the globe. Co-op Nation is one such projects, allowing her to combine two of her passions in the form of Global Co-op Media Group, a digital media and creative co-op incubator. She is President of DigiCo Global Business Solutions, an organization dedicated to digital literacy, automation, and transformation for solopreneurs, small businesses, and co-opreneurs. Digico Global is member of Columinate Consulting Co-op. Ahzjah has also served on the National Co-op Grocers Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of their inaugural DEI committee. She is currently Co-Chair for the National Cooperative Business Association's P6 Ambassador's council.
